[0:01] Happy Resurrection day. He is risen. Yeah, amen. So, if you are visiting, welcome. Just to let you know that we do serve lunch downstairs after church. So, everybody's welcome. And I I always forget to say that.
But, well, we have a lot to cover. So if you'd open your Bibles to Luke chapter 24.
[0:43] I wanna start, if you'd all stand with me, I'm gonna read part of the text here.
[0:53] Luke 24, verse one. Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they and certain other women with them came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared, but they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
[1:14] Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.
Then as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, why do you seek the living among the dead?
He is not here, but has risen.
Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee, saying the son of man must be delivered, into the hands of sinful men and be crucified.
And the third day rise again. And they remembered his words.
So Lord, I wanna thank you for your word once again, and we ask Holy Spirit that you have your way, in our hearts and in our lives and in our church.
And we do pray for all the churches meeting in your name in the community and just ask that you work mightily in their midst as well.
We thank you in Jesus' name, amen. You can all be seated.
[2:27] So the apostle Paul had written.
[2:32] If not for the hope of the resurrection, if we could not trust in the message of the resurrection, that we would be men most to be pitied.
[2:48] Men and women most to be pitied.
But then he went on to say, he said, but Christ is risen. He's risen indeed. And so we do have that message. And each of the gospel writers, they give kind of a different perspective concerning the resurrection, a snapshot from a different moment in time, kind of like time-lapse photography. You know when the camera goes off every couple minutes or every half an hour or every hour, depending on what they're looking at.
And then all of a sudden you see a plant grow in just a minute.
And so if you were to stop that at any given minute and you were to say, so what did you see? Well, I saw a plant with two leaves.
The next person say, well, I saw a plant with three leaves. Well, how could they both be right?
It's that different perspective.
And that's how the different gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John will cover the resurrection.
And yet, when you put them all together side by side, they perfectly fit.
The message is perfect.
[4:06] And so here in Luke's gospel, we read there in verse 1, now on the first day of the week, Very early in the morning, they and a certain other women with them came to the tomb bringing spices, which they had prepared.
And so it was on the first day, and the first day, it was Sunday.
I know most of the time we think of Sunday as the end of the week. I know I always did.
Sunday's the end of the week, and then we have to start a new week, no?
The first day of the week is Sunday. And so we get together every first day of the week to get a good start on our week.
And so, you know, it's a blessing to do that. And we see also there that the women, it says there.
[5:04] Were at the tomb early in the morning. And you think, well, the women were there, Where were the men?
Well, the men were hiding for fear.
[5:21] Fear of being linked to Jesus and His penalty. The men in that day were considered a threat, and the women were not.
And yet we learn later that once the men met the risen Lord, they became bold and fearless followers of Jesus, realizing that they no longer had to fear death.
What a way to live, right?
Our Lord has risen. I do not have to fear death again. Because, you know, I mean, it's on our mind.
And death doesn't only take the old. Death takes all ages.
And so it's just the idea of we don't have to fear it.
Why? Because we live life evermore when we trust in the risen Savior as our Lord and Savior.
And so we can live life like that. It's a game changer.
Now Jesus said in Matthew 10, 28, And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
And that should be our concern.
[6:44] To have a fear of God and a trust in the Lord. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 118:6, the Lord is on my side, I will not fear.
[6:59] What can man do to me? The answer to that is nothing. The Lord is my defender, my deliverer.
Paul wrote with confidence in Romans eight, for I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.", And so that's the confidence that we need to have as believers, trusting in the Lord, the truth of the resurrection.
You see in verse two, but they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
And it says, and they went in, did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Now, know that their first thoughts were he had to be resurrected.
And, you know, of course, no. Rather, we see there in verse four, they were perplexed.
In other words, they were entirely at a loss.
And it happened there as they were greatly perplexed.
[8:14] Not a little perplexed, but a lot. And so I kind of keyed in there for a thought because it says a little time, but it doesn't say how much time that God allowed.
God was allowing for their head scratching.
And what's all that about moment?
So what's this all about? You know, the standard spiritual procedures.
You know, what's this all about?
How God works in our life.
Times when we ponder what's next.
What's God up to here? And we're puzzled about the turn of events and all the above because God works in our life but then it says there the two angels appear And the angels look like shining men.
And we know from the scriptures that angels don't always look like shining men, but for effect, here they look like shining men.
Hebrews 13:2, it says, do not forsake to entertain, do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing, some have unwittingly entertained angels.
So you wouldn't unwittingly, unknowingly entertain angels if they were always shining.
You know. And so, we see her there in verse 5, in verse five, then as they were afraid.
[9:42] Bowed their faces to the earth. So they were startled. And you think about that, you know how it is to be startled when you don't expect something and then out of nowhere, somebody just says, huh, how you doing? And you just jump out of your skin.
And it was kind of like that, because when the angels showed up there where it says, they were greatly perplexed that behold, it's like poof, all of a sudden there was two angels.
And so of course, you know, that human reaction, the whole setting, they're in an empty tomb, and everything's barely getting light and everything's sort of eerie, you know, and they're wondering what's going on.
And I don't know, I can't help but see God's sense of humor in all this, you know?
And so, and you know, so when we startle one another, you know, don't think it's a great sin.
I always try to set that up, by the way, to startle people, it's great.
But he says, why do you seek, the angels say, why do you seek the living among the dead?
Well, the Bible teaches that Jesus is the giver of life. And so when we seek him, because he has risen, we seek life.
Yet for those who seek after the world, looking for life, they seek the living among the dead.
And the end, they'll end up empty handed.
[11:11] You know, and always come up short, perplexed, puzzled, wondering, I must be missing something.
Grabbing for whatever they can grab a hold of, looking for satisfaction wherever that they can.
I remember, and I don't remember the country it was in where they would catch monkeys.
Monkeys. In some countries they eat monkeys. And the way they would catch monkeys is they put a jar, a certain size hole, then, they'd put something in that jar that the monkey couldn't resist so the monkey reaches in there. And once it grabs a hold of whatever it is, it can't get his hand back out. And so they'll, just come up on the monkey and kill it. But even the monkey threatened by the fear of it will not let go of whatever it whatever it is. And so I think how you know people that are looking for satisfaction in the world won't let go of whatever it is and ends up being to their death. I remember the account of the sinking of the Titanic. Some of the people wouldn't let go of their gold and silver and so forth and even though they couldn't get on a lifeboat they still put their money belts on as they were sinking, like that was going to help?
[12:29] You know, and so, but believers, because Jesus has risen, we live looking for the soon return, the blessed hope.
That's what the blessed hope is. Lord, come quickly.
Either we're gonna die in a natural sense and be with the Lord, or the Lord's gonna come back and get us, and so we're not hoping that the world will satisfy, because concerning the world's things, they're at the best temporal, short-lived.
But those of us who trust in the risen Lord, that's eternal, forever.
[13:08] Which is the title of this message, Life Evermore. Forgot to mention that.
And so they were afraid, and angel asked them that question.
And then in verse six, he is not here, but is risen. and remember how he spoke to you, when he was still in Galilee.
I have to stop there with a short thought.
You know how many times the Lord gives us the heads up and he speaks to us, and then we just sort of dismiss it and forget about it.
Sure enough, later, at a strategic time, come back up.
And I'm trying to be more sensitive to respond like on the spot to what the Lord's saying.
But you remember, you know, how he spoke to you when you were there in Galilee saying, the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified the third day, rise again.
And then they remembered. And so the angels were speaking for the Lord.
[14:16] And that's what the Holy Spirit does now in our lives as he speaks through us, through his word, and we're able to then share with others and then bring back to their remembers things that they might have already known and they remembered.
You know, how often do we forget at times something said to us.
[14:43] Something we've experienced where the Lord spoke to us. We see it's just being us, you know, we're forgetful, we're frail, we fall short. Verse 9, then they returned from the tomb and they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. So more than eleven that were gathered at that time on that Sunday morning. And it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the Apostles. And their words seemed to them like idle tales, they did not believe them. But Peter arose and ran to the tomb, stooping down.
He saw the linen cloths lying by themselves and he departed marveling to himself at what.
[15:37] Had happened." And so even though these women were sharing with the apostles and the others that were gathered there, the truth, it fell on deaf ears once again. It's almost like an idle tale. You're dreaming. You're storytelling. You're in denial. You know, this is one of the five stages of grief. Whatever it is that they were thinking, they weren't taking the women's account seriously. You know, you've got up too early. You stayed up too late.
Delusional. That's the idea. Meanwhile they were speaking the truth. But I find it interesting, of course, Peter's MO was he had to go and check it out.
[16:28] Which was a big move on his part, to leave his little hiding place to go out to the tomb.
And then he marveled. He was wondering, analyzing, questioning. It couldn't happen, no way, is where Peter was at. Yet Peter was one of those, remember, who had dismissed that Jesus said these words. He was one. He was one that heard those words of verse 7, that the, Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and the third day rise again. It was spoken to Peter. It's no different today. If you, find yourself perplexed, if you find yourself wondering and yet fail to believe something that God already showed you, something that you already know in the Word and you just sort of discount it. Put it on the back burner and then you, forget about it. Now verse 13, Behold, two of them were traveling that same day. So from.
[17:40] That group an account given only here in the Gospel of Luke this account is given. And, And so these two were traveling the same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.
So the first thing we have to think of here is that if they would have believed in the resurrection in any way, there's no way they'd have left Jerusalem.
They discounted it, and so they headed to Emmaus, a seven-mile journey, and they talked together of all these things which had happened.
Which had happened, so it was while they conversed and reasoned that Jesus himself drew near and went with them, but their eyes were restrained so that they did not know him.
And he said to them, what kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?
And so they were kept from recognizing Jesus. And at that point in time, when you think about it, literally at that point they were conversing with God, which is always a benefit. And basically, Jesus, like a good counselor does, lets them talk about it.
[19:00] And so then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to him, are you the only stranger in Jerusalem?
And have you not known the things which happen there these days?
Like what planet are you from?
How could you even ask these questions? And he said to them, what things?
This is, you know, once again, you have to see the humor in all of this.
I think personally Jesus is just busting at the seams. Can't wait to reveal himself to these guys, you know.
And he's playing along.
So they said to him, the things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who is a prophet, mighty indeed in word, before God and all the people, and how the chief priest and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death and crucified him.
And so you notice they asked Jesus the question, but Jesus didn't answer their question.
Rather, you know, asked them another question, you know. And so he asked them, and once again I see God's humor in that, but like what things?
But he knew.
[20:17] He knew exactly. But you tell me anyway. And it's kind of like the idea, you tell me, you explain it your way, because this way when I do answer, you're gonna know, you're gonna be tracking with what I'm gonna say. Jesus is setting this whole thing up.
[20:32] And it's just great. You know, the image of just how excited Jesus would be to unveil, himself. Right now, they were blinded at that. And I think it's kind of like when you buy a gift for somebody. You're so excited because you know that this gift that you've bought them, they're gonna absolutely love. But now have to wait till their birthday or you have to wait till Christmas and you're just like, oh, I can't wait till they open this. I'm so excited. I think it's like that. And so, and so as as they're just explaining what's going on, they said that in verse 20 how the chief priests are rulers delivered him to be condemned to death. Those who ruled over them them opposed God, they were enemies of God, how sad that is, but also I thought how familiar sounding that is when I read that. And you know, so we see in now verse 21, they continue, but we were hoping that it was he who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. And so you had crucifixion.
[21:53] Happened on Friday, then you had the Sabbath, that's the first day, the Sabbath the second day, Sunday the third day. So Friday the first day, Saturday the second day, Sunday the third day.
This is the third day since these things happened.
Yes, and certain women of our company who arrived at the tomb earlier astonished us.
When they did not find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said, he was alive.
And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see.
So reference to Peter and John there going to the tomb.
Then he said to them, it's almost like Jesus couldn't stand it anymore.
[22:44] Oh foolish ones and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken, Ought not the Christ, who hath suffered these things, to enter into His glory?
And beginning at Moses, and all the prophets He expounded to them, and all the Scriptures, the things concerning Himself.
And so Jesus basically has said to them, You're so foolish, you did not listen to the written word.
You did not believe what the prophets already said, that prophesied of Me.
And you did not believe it.
And so Jesus here is not introducing any new information. He already told them these things.
But if you don't believe what you hear, then you're left without the hope, without the truth.
And so then he gave them the ultimate Bible study, one that I'd like to hear.
I hope it's recorded.
So when I end up in heaven, I can listen to it.
And so he gives this ultimate Bible study and he begins with Moses and the prophets.
He talks to them about the scripture. So Jesus based his evidence, his message, his proof, on the word of God.
[24:00] And that is facts for faith. Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy.
Tells us that Jesus is the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Tells us in Revelation. And then also Peter writes concerning the word.
[24:24] He says, and we have the prophetic word confirmed in the King James is more sure word, the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
And so it's by the written Word that we have confidence.
And that's why we study the Word of God.
You know, not, I mean, it's good to read books, but if you had to choose one, read the Bible.
And study the Bible and hear what God has to say concerning that. Verse 28, when they drew near to the village where they were going, and he indicated that he would have gone further, Jesus, but they constrained him saying, abide with us for it is toward evening.
The day is far spent and he went in to stay with them. Like okay, yeah, I'll come in.
You know, but I like that. I like the way that King James says it.
He made it seem as though he was gonna move on.
And so basically he prompted the invite, hint, hint, that's what Jesus did.
[25:54] And they got the hint, and so in application that word they constrained him.
They wouldn't take no for an answer.
And they persuaded, they persisted, I'm sorry. And so verse 30, now it came to pass as he sat at the table with them, that he took bread, blessed, broke it, gave it to them.
Then their eyes were opened, and they knew him.
And he vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, did not our hearts burn within us while he talked with us on the road and while he opened the scriptures to us?
So they rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem and found the 11, and those who were with them gathered together, saying, the Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.
[26:50] And then they told about the things that had happened on the road and how he was known to them in the breaking of bread.
And so at that point, their eyes were opened.
Now my thought was, is so their eyes were opened, did they see scars? Did they see scars?
What was it that they seen or just then were able to recognize Jesus?
And it was also unusual here because it wasn't for the guest to be the one serving.
[27:25] So that was unusual. The guest is always served. But we know of Jesus, don't we? In Luke 22-27 it says, for who is greater, he who sits at the table or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as one who serves. So we have that incredible example and then there his ministry, his service is an example for us to follow as he served. And I'm.
[28:01] Sure he did that with a smile. So they rose up that very hour. So they were so excited. Now remember seven miles from Jerusalem, they immediately turned around and went back. So they probably walked back in the dark at that point. And so they met, when they met up again with the apostles, the apostles already knew the very thing that they came back to tell them. And then they both, they began to swap testimonies, that things that they have seen. And so, you know, the message is starting to spread. So now as they said these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them and, and said to them, peace to you.
But they were terrified and frightened and suppose they seen a spirit.
So even after all of that, they were still freaking out and can often be that way for us when Jesus.
[29:09] You know, life, life, living life. It can often be that way for us, even though we're people of faith, even though we know the word, even though we know certain things.
We know that Jesus is with us.
We know that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. And then all of a sudden we find ourselves terrified, and we begin to freak out.
We've got to compose ourselves, hopefully, in the word.
But Jesus said, these things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
So no matter what it is that you have to endure, you know, at times when you are fearful because we're sheep.
How many of you know sheep are fearful creatures? I mean, even the bold apostle Paul, for instance.
[29:58] You know, in a jail cell, Jesus had to come to him and said, fear not.
I would say some of us fear less, but we're all fearful at times.
We're sheep, He's the shepherd, and we need Him, you know.
And also available to us, the scriptures tell us, that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
So even though you don't understand situations at a time, we know that we don't have to, because we know Him.
We don't have to know the conclusion of the trial or whatever it is that we're dealing with, we know Him, and that's the key.
So we have the peace that he's promised us because we trust him.
And so that peace can override understanding. Our misguided foregone conclusions like we have seen throughout this account.
And so he said to them, why are you troubled?
[31:02] And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold, my hand and my feet.
It is I myself, handle me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see here, as you see I have.
And so this is Jesus showing them his glorified body. I'm not a ghost.
They're treating him like he's a ghost. look closer at me, look at me, and it gives insight to our spiritual body, our glorified body, at the, resurrection, because Jesus is the first fruits of the resurrection. And so, you know, what you see is what you get, in a sense. So recorded in Genesis, remember, at creation, and God was done creating all that He created in Adam and Eve as well, say, hey, it's all good.
[32:02] Not until, it was until sin entered that it wasn't so good. The flesh became a problem. But prior to, it's all good. And so now here Jesus in His glorified body, look at Him, flesh and bones, it's all good. Sinless. And so, and so then in verse 40 when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet, but while they still did not believe for joy and marveled, he said to them, have you any food here?
So Jesus take it to another level. And so they gave him a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb, and he took it and ate it in their presence.
And I happened to be looking at this when Alejandrina made salmon filets on Thursday night.
And I thought, this is the greatest, what is it?
And she said, it was salmon with honey.
I went, oh, this is good.
So that's what Jesus was eating, you know, broiled fish in honeycomb.
So if you want an anointed diet, there it is for you.
But have you any food? So we get more insight about our glorified body here.
Food and fellowship forever.
[33:28] I guess the food just goes into an incinerator, disappears. But...
When they say that they for joy and marvel, but they still were in a place of unbelief, it's almost like their attitude was, when am I going to wake up?
You know, this has to be a dream. How can this be happening? That's still where they're at.
Now, this is the risen Lord, you know, before them. And they're still having all these doubts.
And can I say, unless the Holy Spirit opens up your eyes, you're never going to believe.
[34:13] The Holy Spirit has to do that work. Verse 44, before. Then he said to them, these are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms concerning me. And he opened their understanding that they might comprehend the scriptures.
Then he said to them, thus it is written and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations beginning at Jerusalem and you are witnesses of these things.
[35:07] Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you, but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endowed with power from on high.
So we see it was necessary that Jesus died. Notice it was necessary for repentance.
Notice it was necessary for the witness.
And then notice it was necessary for the power of the Spirit.
And so their eyes were opened.
And so, important to understand, it's not about intellect. It's not about your IQ.
Because there's a really, really lot of stupid intellectual people when it comes to the subject of God.
Sorry to say.
I've talked to them. I shake my head. And I think like, how could anybody so smart be so stupid? You know?
But remember, you really should know that.
Because unless the Holy Spirit does the work and opens up their eyes.
[36:18] You know, it's just when someone's blind, they're blind. If you've seen a blind man, you wouldn't ask why they're stumbling over things and all that. You say, because he's blind.
So when you talk to someone who doesn't know Lord, then they're just blind. And so, you know, I take a different approach now. I think, well, I pray, Lord, open up their eyes. You know, they're blind. That's why they don't understand what I'm saying. And it's all about God opening our eyes to truth. When we have the privilege to do so, how, How wonderful to speak truth, the things that you know.
And...
[37:06] It's not going to be you speaking to somebody, you have something memorized, you make the perfect point. It will only be a preordained point in time when God opened up their understanding like we see here. So don't put the pressure on you like, you know, you got to be God to get the truth through.
No, that's not your business. That's the business of the Holy Spirit. You only be a witness.
[37:34] When you put truth out there, you're not responsible for what people do with it. Yes, faith's timing is also part of the equation because Ephesians 2.8, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God.
So God presents faith and then we have choices to make. And the The natural man, on the other hand, it says, Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 2 where he says, these things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.
Know them. They have to be spiritually discerned. The spirit needs to work. You can't separate that.
And so Jesus says, go wait in Jerusalem. So there are believers, believers go wait there in Jerusalem until the timing then that they would be, filled with the Holy Spirit.
[38:51] And so the Holy Spirit we know is available to us believers today, God hasn't changed.
I like that worship song that we were doing, bringing back the reference to all the Old Testament when God worked powerfully and how he still works powerfully in our midst.
But it says in Luke 11, 10-13, for everyone who asked receives, he who seeks finds, to him who knocks it will be opened.
If a man asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone?
Or if he asks of a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?
Or if he asks of an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?
And so, believers are indwelled with the Holy Spirit.
[39:47] But after that, they call the epi, is the filling of the Holy Spirit.
And when you look being filled with the Holy Spirit, the tense of the word says, being continually filled with the Holy Spirit.
Why? Because we're leaky vessels.
It's like we have good days and bad days. Maybe it shouldn't be that way, but I've never met the exception to the rule.
Jesus was the only one.
And so, to be right with God takes confession of sin, which is an agreeing with God, which is an agreement with the gospel, which we just covered there.
And Jesus Christ came.
[40:27] Pre-planned, pre-arranged, even before creation itself. He's the lamb slain before the foundations of the earth.
Pre-planned, with you in mind, think about that.
And Jesus said this.
[40:44] He said in Matthew 10, therefore, whoever confesses me before men, him I will confess before my Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies me before men, him I will deny before my Father.
Who is in heaven. And so those are strong, strong challenging words that's put forth before us.
You know, I read to you the Word of God. Those are my words. And we talked about death and we talked about resurrection, life. And so all of you consider yourself challenged.
[41:29] I mean, you know where you are in your hearts today. And I'd only say if you haven't made, that decision in your life to follow Jesus Christ, to believe in Him, to have the hope of the resurrection that you need to.
It's necessary, repentance, confession, necessary to receive salvation.
And so you do that, it's a private matter between you and the Lord.
That's a decision of the heart.
And so let's all stand together. I'm gonna pray and close in prayer.
And if you need prayer, if you wanna pray with somebody afterwards.
Just come up here in the front here.
[42:16] Lord Jesus, we want to thank you for your word given to us. And Lord, also, we just thank you for the record of scripture to just see those that, you know, could have the evidence of the truth right in front of them and be confused and perplexed and struggling and not believing and not understanding and all these things, and you went out of your way, to make yourself known, to show yourself, patiently. And I know that you work the same way today and you're working in everybody's lives and hearts, Lord. I know that people are challenged and then they're challenged again and then they're challenged again and life just seems to pass them by before they ever come to that point of decision.
But I pray that would be today for anybody who hasn't. And I pray for any Lord that have just been lingering in the distance, distant, distant relationship with you, Lord. I pray that that they would come to that place of repentance, and come to that place of fellowshipping with you daily, Lord, and just receiving their strength from you.
And so we thank you for your love. We thank you for all this day represents, and we do pray for that power of the resurrection to be in our lives as well.
We ask this in Jesus' name, amen. God bless you. Amen.
