Aim for repentance
As Christians, when we share our faith, when we witness. What is our aim, our Goal? It’s easy to say “I want them to know Jesus, and be saved” while all that’s fine and dandy, and sugar candy. That’s not a specific basis to drive a conversation, It should be less broad, There needs to be a bulls eye on the target. A soldier aimlessly swinging around a sword won’t be very effective without having a specific target on what he’s trying to hit. Having a more specific motivation will elude a more specific response.
In the Second chapter of the book of Acts. The apostles were preaching the wrath of God to come to 3,000 people. They cried out “What shall we do!” Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins”…
Repentance is Key, Jesus said you must repent in order to be saved. If we focus on the person’s need of repentance, it will keep our eyes on the prize of A mighty King Coming into a world to die treacherously for his undeserving sheep.
